WDG Ventures, Inc. has been involved in a number of consulting assignments during the past several years, which have grown out of the need, that certain clients and client communities have expressed for “real world” advice on analyzing real estate issues. We bring to the table the perspective of a developer who is an owner, asset manager, and creator of value in a variety of commercial and residential projects. Our experience in managing tenants, analyzing specific supply and demand characteristics, selling and purchasing assets enables us to “sit in the shoes” of the user in order to offer solutions which make sense in a dynamic market.

Hamilton

For four years we were part of a consultant team to the Marin Continuum of Housing on various issues relating to the reuse of the Hamilton Army Airfield in Novato, California. The Continuum is a consortium of non-profit housing and homeless service providers. We were hired to advise them on land use issues, help them identify and acquire buildings and land at Hamilton that could be used for providing housing and services to the homeless and help them advocate for a high percentage of affordable housing in the reuse of the base housing stock.
We have also been retained by Homeward Bound of Marin, the homeless shelter operator, to act as owner’s representative and developer of a new 80-bed residential and job training center on land at Hamilton acquired through the reuse process.
